Artist Talk: Michail Pirgelis

Michail Pirgelis develops sculptural forms from fragments of discarded aircraft, condensing technical history, human experience and aesthetic present. Through precise interventions, he strips the material of its function and opens up new realities. An impressive, site-specific installation with new works is being created for Dornbirn 2026. In conversation with Thomas Häusle, the artist provides insight into his practice and the creation of the exhibition.
